Murder in a masquerade. Sounds like a perfect fit for the ballroom murder mystery archetype, right? One large room, the body found in the corridor, a supply closet perhaps, the dead body of the host. Wrong, wrong wrong. This party was not contained in one room, or even two. It sprawled across the entire hundred acre property, every room in the manor and every corner of the garden, so it should have been near impossible for someone to be killed without somebody noticing. But it happened. The host's estranged cousin, Miss April Locust, was found stabbed to death, hunched over the railing of one of the many balconies.
Victim:
April Locust
Age: 43
Last seen in: Main ballroom
Last seen at: Around 22:00, give or take fifteen minutes
Last seen by: Mrs. Winter Albero
Body found in: The third balcony from the ground furthest to the left in the middle building
Cause of death: Fatal stab wound to the heart from the back. However, there were two other stab wounds, oriented more to the left. They both hit a lung, but the ultimate cause of death was the stab in the heart. All three wounds were deep, one post-mortem
Time of death: 23:06
