2econd 2ight 2eer, pronounced "Second Sight Seer," is the second song in Will Wood's "Normal Album." It's about one coming out of their shell and admitting that they're out of their mind.
"The devil made me do it but I also kind of wanted to" may refer to the "devil" influencing one to do bad things, but in the end, the choice being the individual's. This particular lyric really stands out, because of the weight it holds. You can blame your mistakes on the influence of others, but ultimately, it's your choice to go through with the actions. I feel like "I didn't lose it, no I set it free" also carries similar meaning.
"Some days I'm glad that I am a madman and I'd rather be that than an amicable animal, mild-mannered cannibal" talks about other, worse possibilities. The comparison of madman to an "amicable animal" or "mild-mannered cannibal" seems to imply that the singer would rather be a crazy human than a sane animal. Worst of the best versus best of the worst.
"If sick is defined by different, well then pull the plug out and let me die." I feel like this talks about mental illness and how people who are "different," possibly referring to neurodivergent, are treated as "sick." I would say this is Will expressing that he'd rather not live than be treated as sick, or he's basically saying "okay, well if I'm sick, stop the treatment, let's see if it kills me."
Overall, this song explores a lot of topics, buried under the loud, cheerful music, and is undoubtably one of my favourite songs.
